Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a family seated at a table, on a terrace, a landscape beyond by Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in New York in January 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 115,301.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musical Company in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,285,089.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a family seated at a table, on a terrace, a landscape beyond von Hendrick Martensz.
