Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Kitchen Interior With Christ At Emmaus by Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 49,618.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musical Company in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,285,089.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Kitchen Interior With Christ At Emmaus von Hendrick Martensz.
