The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musical Company in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,285,089.32).

Die Arbeit Man Holding A Glass Roemer von Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.485,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musical Company im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.762.500,00 (€ 1.285.089,32).
