Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work Boors drinking and smoking in a tavern by Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 18,750.00 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musical Company in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,285,089.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boors drinking and smoking in a tavern von Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 18.750,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Martensz. Sorgh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musical Company im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.762.500,00 (€ 1.285.089,32).
