Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I, which included the work Figures skating on a frozen lake with an elegant couple in the foreground by Hendrick Avercamp. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 625,000.00 (€ 557,438.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Avercamp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Panoramic Winter Landscape With A Multitude Of Figures On A Frozen River in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 5,010,500.00 (€ 6,319,815.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures skating on a frozen lake with an elegant couple in the foreground von Hendrick Avercamp zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 625.000,00 (€ 557.438,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Avercamp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Panoramic Winter Landscape With A Multitude Of Figures On A Frozen River im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.010.500,00 (€ 6.319.815,87).
