Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Hema Upadhyay was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. The price achieved of HKD 57,600.00 (€ 5,785.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 38,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hema Upadhyay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 84,590.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hema Upadhyay wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 57.600,00 (€ 5.785,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 38.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hema Upadhyay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 84.590,46).
