This work without title by Hema Upadhyay was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Indian Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2006. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,729.25), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hema Upadhyay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 84,590.46).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hema Upadhyay wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Indian Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.729,25) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hema Upadhyay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 84.590,46).
