It achieved a price of USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,241.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Admittedly, works by Hema Upadhyay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 84,590.46).

Die Arbeit Seriously Playful von Hema Upadhyay kam im September 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.241,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hema Upadhyay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 84.590,46).
