Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work ACROBATS AND THEIR SCENES by Hema Upadhyay for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 20,852.79). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hema Upadhyay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 84,590.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit ACROBATS AND THEIR SCENES von Hema Upadhyay für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 20.852,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hema Upadhyay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 84.590,46).
