Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Metaesquema by Hélio Oiticica was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2015. The price achieved of USD 185,000.00 (€ 175,156.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hélio Oiticica - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work P31 Parangolé, capa 24, Escrerbuto, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 615,000.00 (€ 516,893.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Metaesquema von Hélio Oiticica kam im November 2015 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 175.156,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hélio Oiticica mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit P31 Parangolé, capa 24, Escrerbuto beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 615.000,00 (€ 516.893,60) versteigert wurde.
