Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Metaesquema 167 by Hélio Oiticica was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in November 2012. The price achieved of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,395.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hélio Oiticica - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work P31 Parangolé, capa 24, Escrerbuto, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 615,000.00 (€ 516,893.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Metaesquema 167 von Hélio Oiticica wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 186.395,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hélio Oiticica mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit P31 Parangolé, capa 24, Escrerbuto beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 615.000,00 (€ 516.893,60) versteigert wurde.
