Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 88.13 (€ 128.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helena Maguire - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of A Boy, Three-Quarter-Length, With His Dog, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 180.00 (€ 266.77).
