Despite a disappointment, a good price for Helena Maguire
When the work Portrait of A Boy, Three-Quarter-Length, With His Dog by Helena Maguire was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 266.77).
