A top price for Helen Pashgian
When the work Sphere, 1970 by Helen Pashgian was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 10,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at USD 78,495.00 (€ 80,236.12). This high result makes Sphere, 1970 the most expensive artwork by Helen Pashgian that we have observed at auctions so far.
