The work A sea of gulls, Prestwick by Helen Maria Turner was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,928.51), 66% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Helen Maria Turner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Boy in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,231.68).

Die Arbeit A sea of gulls, Prestwick von Helen Maria Turner wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.928,51) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helen Maria Turner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Boy im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.231,68).
