Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hector Chalmers could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art Online auction, the work Harvest Time, Fifeshire changed hands for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,977.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Hector Chalmers have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2017 by the work British harvest Time, Fifeshire at USD 4,500.00 (€ 3,782.15).
