Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PAINTINGS, which included the work A bit of Culross by Hector Chalmers. The price achieved of GBP 141.00 (€ 227.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hector Chalmers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British harvest Time, Fifeshire in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,500.00 (€ 3,782.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A bit of Culross von Hector Chalmers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 141,00 (€ 227,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hector Chalmers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British harvest Time, Fifeshire im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.500,00 (€ 3.782,15).
