The work The Gossip by Hector Caffieri was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,584.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hector Caffieri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Catching Tiddlers, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).

Die Arbeit The Gossip von Hector Caffieri kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.584,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Für andere Arbeiten von Hector Caffieri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Catching Tiddlers beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09) versteigert wurde.
