This artwork by Hector Caffieri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2011. In the Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby auction, the work Two Mexican children in a courtyard sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,697.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hector Caffieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catching Tiddlers in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby wurde die Arbeit Two Mexican children in a courtyard für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.697,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hector Caffieri erzielen.
