Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A lady artist in a wood; and A wooded river landscape by Hector Caffieri was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,226.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hector Caffieri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Catching Tiddlers in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A lady artist in a wood; and A wooded river landscape von Hector Caffieri kam im September 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.226,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hector Caffieri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Catching Tiddlers im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09).
