A top price for He Daogen - as previously expected
The work Chrysanthemum by He Daogen was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The price achieved of HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,288.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 16,000.00 – 26,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Chrysanthemum is the most expensive artwork by He Daogen that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum von He Daogen wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.288,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 16.000,00 – 26.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Chrysanthemum das teuerste Kunstwerk von He Daogen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
