In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Australian ArtIncluding Works by New Zealand and South African Artists, which included the work Sports Babe (Tennis) by Hazel Dooney. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,588.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Hazel Dooney have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2008 the work Dangerous Career Babe: The Aviatrix was auctioned for GBP 14,375.00 (€ 15,097.93).
