Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bus queue by Hayward Veal was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 504.00 (€ 741.83). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hayward Veal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Streetscape in Rain, which sold at auction in May 2003 for AUD 3,290.00 (€ 1,821.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bus queue von Hayward Veal kam im März 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 504,00 (€ 741,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hayward Veal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Streetscape in Rain beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für AUD 3.290,00 (€ 1.821,16) versteigert wurde.
