Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Christmas Eve by Harry Brooker. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,042.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Brooker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Critical Moment (A House of Cards), which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 32,265.00 (€ 47,105.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christmas Eve von Harry Brooker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.042,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harry Brooker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Critical Moment (A House of Cards) beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 32.265,00 (€ 47.105,88) versteigert wurde.
