It achieved a price of USD 28,050.00 (€ 28,672.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Bertoia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Screen From One Marine Midland Center, Buffalo, New York in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).

Die Arbeit Standing Sculpture, circa 1972-78 von Harry Bertoia kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 28.672,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Bertoia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Screen From One Marine Midland Center, Buffalo, New York im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 790.000,00 (€ 747.964,40).
