In January 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Fir trees by Engstlensee, Switzerland by Harold Speed. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 875.00 (€ 981.99), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Speed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vale of Leutha in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 39,127.39).

Im Januar 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fir trees by Engstlensee, Switzerland von Harold Speed zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 981,99) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Speed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Vale of Leutha im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.290,00 (€ 39.127,39).
