A top price for Harold Speed - as previously expected
The work The Vale of Leutha by Harold Speed was sold in the Victorian Pictures including The John H. Schaeffer auction at Christies in London in June 2004. The price achieved of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 39,127.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Vale of Leutha is the most expensive artwork by Harold Speed that we have observed at auctions so far.
