Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Why Not The Thrilling 'Thirties? by Harold Sandys Williamson was sold in the Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,020.40). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Sandys Williamson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work There And Back, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,905.79).

Die Arbeit Why Not The Thrilling 'Thirties? von Harold Sandys Williamson wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.020,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Sandys Williamson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit There And Back beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.905,79) versteigert wurde.
