Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Venetian Festival by Harold Hitchcock was sold in the Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye auction at Christies in London in February 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 840.00 (€ 1,245.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Hitchcock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'And did those feet...', which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,142.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Venetian Festival von Harold Hitchcock wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 840,00 (€ 1.245,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Hitchcock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'And did those feet...' beobachtet, die im Juli 2013 für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.142,35) versteigert wurde.
