The work In the woods by Harold Hitchcock was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in July 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,625.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Harold Hitchcock have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2013 the work 'And did those feet...' was auctioned for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,142.35).
