In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Watering Place by Harold Harvey. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,737.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harold Harvey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tulip pickers in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 93,812.00 (€ 105,855.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Watering Place von Harold Harvey zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.737,70) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harold Harvey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tulip pickers im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.812,00 (€ 105.855,72).
