This artwork by Harold Harvey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2021. In the European & British Art auction, the work Fishing Boats, Newlyn sold for GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,462.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Harvey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tulip pickers, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 93,812.00 (€ 105,855.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harold Harvey erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European & British Art wurde die Arbeit Fishing Boats, Newlyn für GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.462,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Harvey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tulip pickers beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 93.812,00 (€ 105.855,72) versteigert wurde.
