Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work The Quayside, Newlyn by Harold Harvey. The price achieved of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 49,402.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Harvey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tulip pickers, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 93,812.00 (€ 105,855.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Quayside, Newlyn von Harold Harvey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 49.402,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Harvey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tulip pickers beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 93.812,00 (€ 105.855,72) versteigert wurde.
