In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Morning, Newlyn Harbour by Harold Harvey. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 20,369.28), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Harold Harvey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tulip pickers in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 93,812.00 (€ 105,855.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Morning, Newlyn Harbour von Harold Harvey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 20.369,28) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harold Harvey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tulip pickers im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.812,00 (€ 105.855,72).
