In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art Evening Sale including The Lord Forte Collection of Works by L.S. Lowry, which included the work Woman Sewing by Harold Gilman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 85,250.00 (€ 99,520.65), 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Harold Gilman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interior (Mrs Mounter) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 485,000.00 (€ 572,252.32).

Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art Evening Sale including The Lord Forte Collection of Works by L.S. Lowry durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman Sewing von Harold Gilman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 99.520,65) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harold Gilman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior (Mrs Mounter) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 485.000,00 (€ 572.252,32).
