The work King by Harold Cohen was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2011. It achieved a price of EUR 7,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harold Cohen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Abstract Figure sold at auction in July this year with the realized price of GBP 12,800.00 (€ 14,933.72).

Die Arbeit King von Harold Cohen kam im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Harold Cohen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Abstract Figure im Juli diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 12.800,00 (€ 14.933,72).
