Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,709.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Clayton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Flowers In A White Pot, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,645.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Roses, honeysuckle, delphiniums, clematis and other flowers in a bronze urn with putti on a marble pedestal von Harold Clayton kam im November 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.709,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Clayton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers In A White Pot beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.645,54) versteigert wurde.
