Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hydrophonic Perpendicular by Harold Barling Town was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in June 2010. The price achieved of CAD 20,400.00 (€ 15,648.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Barling Town - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stretch #1, which sold at auction in May 2012 for CAD 42,000.00 (€ 32,821.42).

Die Arbeit Hydrophonic Perpendicular von Harold Barling Town kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 20.400,00 (€ 15.648,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Barling Town mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stretch #1 beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für CAD 42.000,00 (€ 32.821,42) versteigert wurde.
