Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Abstract Drawings, A Pair by Harold Barling Town was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 9,600.00 (€ 7,172.75), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Harold Barling Town have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stretch #1 in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 42,000.00 (€ 32,821.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Abstract Drawings, A Pair von Harold Barling Town wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 9.600,00 (€ 7.172,75) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harold Barling Town auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stretch #1 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 42.000,00 (€ 32.821,42).
