Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental, which included the work Noddy's car being butted by a goat by Harmsen van der Beek. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,219.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Harmsen van der Beek have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2005 the work Mr Plod walking away from Noddy and Big-Ears was auctioned for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,264.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental durch, in der auch die Arbeit Noddy's car being butted by a goat von Harmsen van der Beek zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.219,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Harmsen van der Beek konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2005 die Arbeit Mr Plod walking away from Noddy and Big-Ears für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.264,25) versteigert.
