In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work The Maidens Of Spring by Hans Zatzka. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,508.83), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Zatzka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pearls of the Sea, which sold at auction in October 2002 for USD 41,825.00 (€ 42,328.71).

Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Maidens Of Spring von Hans Zatzka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.508,83) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Zatzka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pearls of the Sea beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für USD 41.825,00 (€ 42.328,71) versteigert wurde.
