Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 10,783.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Zatzka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pearls of the Sea, which sold at auction in October 2002 for USD 41,825.00 (€ 42,328.71).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 10.783,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Zatzka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pearls of the Sea beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für USD 41.825,00 (€ 42.328,71) versteigert wurde.
