A top price for Hans von Aachen - as previously expected
The work Pan and Selene by Hans von Aachen was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2010. The price achieved of GBP 241,250.00 (€ 279,849.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pan and Selene is the most expensive artwork by Hans von Aachen that we have observed at auctions so far.
