Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Konvolut von 3 Skulpturen. by Hans Steinbrenner was auctioned at VAN HAM in Cologne in February 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 600.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at EUR 2,451.00. Admittedly, works by Hans Steinbrenner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 21,250.00.
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Konvolut von 3 Skulpturen. von Hans Steinbrenner im Februar 2021 bei VAN HAM in Köln versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 600,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 2.451,00 mehr als viermal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Steinbrenner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.250,00.
