Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,299.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Goderis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shipping In Choppy Waters; And A Calm Sea With Sailing Vessels, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 26,400.00.

Die Arbeit A View Of A Walled City On An Estuary With Small Vessels In The Foreground von Hans Goderis wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.299,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
