Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work L.A. Night #1 by Hans-Christian Schink was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 204.00 (€ 180.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans-Christian Schink achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A38, Brücke Schkartleben (2) in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,270.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit L.A. Night #1 von Hans-Christian Schink im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 204,00 (€ 180,24) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans-Christian Schink erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A38, Brücke Schkartleben (2) im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.270,86).
