This artwork by Ham Myung Su achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Cityscape sold for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 8,945.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ham Myung Su; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Las Vegas sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,394.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ham Myung Su erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Cityscape für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 8.945,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ham Myung Su; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Las Vegas im November 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.394,31).
