Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Aewan Series -Love #3 by Ham Jin for HKD 26,400.00 (€ 2,749.24). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ham Jin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Village & four photographs, which sold at auction in May 2006 for HKD 96,000.00 (€ 9,642.64).
