The work Fat Man Walking! (To The Unknown) by Haluk Akakçe was sold in the Contemporary Art / Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in April 2012. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,529.44), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 17,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Haluk Akakçe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Incubation - Isolation - Transmission, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 43,250.00 (€ 49,772.29).
