Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art/Turkish, which included the work Television Is The Opium Of The Masses by Halil Vurucuoglu. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,754.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Halil Vurucuoglu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2012 the work Duvar (Wall) was auctioned for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,198.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art/Turkish durch, in der auch die Arbeit Television Is The Opium Of The Masses von Halil Vurucuoglu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.754,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Halil Vurucuoglu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2012 die Arbeit Duvar (Wall) für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.198,54) versteigert.
